Germaine Austin Bio
Germaine Austin is a business, tech, contracts, and injury attorney. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Beliesol, Beliesol Real Estate and Belietech. He also serves as the Managing Attorney of Beliesol Legal. As the managing attorney, he successfully manages the day-to-day operations of the Beliesol Legal business, and provides advice, guidance, and legal support to clients on a wide range of matters including contract law, personal injury law, business law, technology law, and various general matters.
He was previously counsel for Altisource, where he worked independently and with different legal and business teams, to manage the day-to-day operations and provide advice, guidance, and legal support on a wide range of matters for five lines of businesses in the Marketplace segment, including an e-commerce auction marketing platform, asset management services, real estate brokerage services, trustee services, and sales lines of businesses. He also helped develop some of the company’s technological offerings in mobile applications and cryptocurrency.
Germaine was previously the youngest corporate attorney on Hawkins Parnell and Young LLP’s Corporate Transactions and Business Litigation team, where he was defense counsel to public and private companies advising on commercial, intellectual property, employment, contract, executive compensation, and issues related to mergers and acquisitions. He also represented companies in federal and state courts and before regulatory agencies, including the United States Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service.
Before, Hawkins Parnell and Young, LLP, he was a Defense and Plaintiff’s attorney at Thomas Kennedy Sampson and Tompkins LLP (TKST). As an attorney for TKST, he practiced insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, internal investigations and business law for Marta, the City of Atlanta, Coca-Cola, and other major companies. Before TKST, he worked for King and Spalding LLP on internal investigations and privilege claims as a defense attorney.
Mr. Austin began his career in the U.S. Army as a Human Resources Sergeant for more than eight years. He gained valuable experience serving clients in his community, protecting assets, and leveraging relationships to achieve results. This continued during his matriculation at North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU Law) where he obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (A.D.R.).
While at NCCU Law, he served as a consultant with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Technology Department. He evaluated company policies, and financial and equity statements, drafted strategic and operational plans and introduced marketing and sales technology to help small businesses exceed financial and operational goals.
He continues to dedicate his time to service his community by supporting leaders and leading organizations whose mission is to fight for equality, dignity, police accountability, voting rights and protection, racial acceptance and impartiality, and justice for people impacted by the criminal legal system. He is a graduate of LEAD Atlanta, the State Bar Leadership Academy and has received several community activist, social action, and service awards, including the Army Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
